At 84K9, our Detection Training Program is designed to be flexible and results-driven, offering multiple training options to suit your needs:
- Board and Train: Your K9 stays with us for an immersive training experience. Upon completion, your dog will be fully trained to detect the specific odors requested and returned to you ready for deployment.
- In-Person Sessions: Handlers bring their dogs in multiple times per week for ongoing training sessions. This option continues until the dog is consistently and confidently detecting the designated odors.
In addition to foundational and advanced detection training, we also specialize in troubleshooting and problem-solving for K9 teams. Our experienced trainers work closely with handlers to identify and correct issues that may be affecting a dog’s reliability in the field. Whether it's motivation, alert clarity, or environmental distractions, we pinpoint the root causes and implement targeted solutions to strengthen performance and consistency. (Open to civilians)

- In-Person Sessions: Handlers bring their dogs in multiple times per week for guided training. These sessions continue until the dog is consistently and accurately following tracks with confidence and focus.
In addition to foundational and advanced tracking development, we also offer troubleshooting and problem-solving. Our trainers work with handlers to address common tracking challenges such as loss of focus, inconsistent indications, or difficulty working through contamination or aged tracks. We identify where the breakdowns are occurring and implement targeted strategies to help dogs regain reliability and precision in their tracking work. (Open to civilians)
